Submissions
We've already got a few submissions from Brunei and a skatebording crew from Malaysia/Aussie...so get on with your final touch and submit.
How to submit??? Well you can always upload it to some file sharing sites and pass the information to the organizers, for them to download.
But, if you worry about the file size and the quality drop, then mail us the edit, burn-ed on a disc in a recognized format.
As for the address to send the disc to, please email manipulativeminds@gmail.com
A short synopsis of the video would be good, details of yourself and brief description of yourself, your crew and of course your edit would be appreciated.
And for the premier and announcement of the winners ; that will be done on the 2nd week of August ( either Friday the 14th or Saturday the 15th , more details on the premier will be coming your way soon...)
Peace.

The Event - Questions II
1st and foremost, skating to me personally has been a gateway realm from reality.
Its all about fun.
Its about you and your crew to showcase your talent to the world.
Well, i can always use other media to showcase my talent...
Fair enough, everyone does that..but are you going to get paid if you post it up?
Are sure you're going to get recognition??
What is there for sponsors??
·Media coverage includes radio, television, newspaper, potential video production & live internet stream, free ad done by Some Like Studios.
·Banners: Your Company logo/name will be prominently displayed on banners surrounding the perimeter of the playing area, where all the action occurs. Banners are viewed by spectators that are likely to appear in tournament video, photographs, and local and national media coverage.
·Logo promotion: Your Company logos will be distinctly displayed on event shirts, advertising discs, event website, blogs, press releases, posters, flyers and other promotional materials.
·Sound promotion for Your Company will be presented / mentioned at frequent intervals throughout the event.
· On-site product display (and sales*) opportunities for Your Company.
***all this depending on the level of sponsorship your company chooses to participate in.
What is there for Manipulative Minds ??
- Returning a favor to the industry/lifestyle/culture that has thought me and my company valuable lessons in life.
- Trust me, if it wasn't for skating, i wouldnt have been who i am.
The Event - Questions
1. Is it open to rollerbladers only?
Technically its opened to rollerbladers but if a skateboarding crew wants to participate, we aint hatin, just that we'll need to get some skateboarding friends to judge as well.
2. Are we limited to submit only 1 video per person/crew?
You can submitt as many as you want but only the best will be showcased.
3. Closing date is end of July, which is 31st July 2009 correct?
Right on with the closing date
4. Prize would be only for 1st place (no 2nd or 3rd prizes?)
For now the cash price is for 1st place, if the rest of the sponsors have finalized their decisions then maybe there might be 2nd and 3rd placing give away.Or Heck, Winner takes all.
5. Vimeo or youtube uploaded video is acceptable correct?
We would suggest rapidshare or those of its kinda, unless you would want the rest of the participants to know what you have done and give them a chance to up your edit then you can proceed with uploading them in youtube/vimeo but we would still need the file for the premiere.
6. The part you said "edit showcasing yourself and your crew" - does that mean the videographer/editor must be in the video skating as well? Let's say I'm taking the video and editing it, but I don't have any clips of me skating in the video, would my video still be eligible for entry? Or do I still have to skate to be eligible to enter?
Lets say a videographer wants to take part in this and hires a few rollerbladers to skate and the person captures and edits thats fine as well.Provided the crew has an understanding with that videographer.
7. If we have posted a video only already, say in vimeo or youtube, can we still posted the video for entry?
If you want to submit an earlier entry as you submission, thats fine but bear in mind this is not tricks based competition and if your edit is grainy and of bad quality, that might cost you.
Thanks Eyan for the questions, if there is any more feel free to drop it at manipulativeminds@gmail.com.
Peace.
The Event - Details
This is not only about your skating, but a platform to showcase your crew/friends , your hidden film making and editing talent, your music if you have a band and wanting to use this as a promotional media for your music.

This is not a single person profile edit but a group effort.
Edits will not only be judged based on tricks but the whole cinematography as the judges of this digital battle will not only consists of rollerbladers/freestyle fruitbooters.
Participants can submit via online to the organizers or post em the hi-res copy.
Once we have the footages, we would premiere it on a selected day and announce the winner.
